Why is UPA not disclosing names of blackmoney holders?

SituationIndia: BJP today sought to know as to why the UPA government was not disclosing the names of those who have stashed black money abroad, "despite repeated rebukes by the Supreme Court."

"There are thousands of crores of unaccounted and illegal money stashed away in foreign shores. Why is the government hell bent on protecting their identities despite repeated rebukes by the Supreme Court?" BJP spokesman Venkaiah Naidu said while speaking to reporters.

Asked what BJP has done during its tenure between 1999 and 2004, he said there were no international agreements initiated by the United Nations at that time in this area."Now
we have a list.. Why is the UPA government not disclosing it?," he said.

He alleged that the UPA government was misusing the Raj Bhawans, CBI, Income Tax department, Enforcement department and Intelligence Bureau to crush the opposition.

Terming as "shameful and scamful," the UPA government's performance, Naidu said he expects more information to be revealed on 2G, Commonwealth and Adarsh scams and new scams to come out in aircraft purchase and National Highways.

He also demanded to know why UPA had not treated Baba Ramdev's eviction in the same manner as that of writer Arundhati Roy and Hurriyat leader Gilani, who made 'anti national and seditious speeches" in Delhi. "The UPA is soft on terrorists and hard on sadhus and nationalists," he said.

Naidu said no UPA minister had resigned on their own, but did so only because the Supreme Court is monitoring the cases.

He demanded that Textiles Minister Dayanidhi Maran "go respectably and facilitate a full enquiry.... Let the facts come up (on the Aircel issue)."
